1) Dishing out impressive performances, India's young wrestlers Anshu Malik and Sonam Malik qualified for the Tokyo Games by winning silver medals at the Asian Olympic Qualifiers.
Anshu, 19, and Sonam, 18, making a steady transition from the junior to the senior circuit, joined senior pro Vinesh Phogat (53kg) in making the Olympics cut.

3) Lawmakers in Kosovo elected and swore in a new President for a five-year term, the Balkan nation’s second female leader in the post-war period.
4) The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is planning to award projects worth around Rs 2.25 lakh crore in the current fiscal. The authority awarded 141 projects (4,788 km) worth Rs 1.71 lakh crore in 2020-21.

7) Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu presented the Kalinga Ratna Award for the year 2021, to Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswa Bhusan Harichandan.
The award was presented during the 600th birth anniversary celebrations of Adikabi Sarala Das and the 40th annual celebrations of Sarala Sahitya Sandad, organised at Sarala Bhawan in Cuttack.
