1) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched a welfare scheme 'Uttar Pradesh Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana' for those children who have lost either one or both parents due to Covid-19.

2) The government has set up a panel of state ministers for better valuation of services of casinos, online gaming portal and race courses for levying goods and services tax (GST).
The seven-member panel, convened by Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel, will also examine whether any change is required in the legal provision for better means of valuation of these services.

3) Art Historian Laurence des Cars becomes the first female president of Musée du Louvre, the world’s largest museum in Paris, France in 228 years.
Laurence des Cars was appointed as the first female president of Musée du Louvre by the President of France, Emmanuel Macron.

4) NASA has partnered with the Indian Space and Research Organization (ISRO).
It will develop a new system aided by radar systems from ISRO that will provide critical information to guide efforts related to climate change and disaster mitigation.

5) An officer of the Indian Air Force (IAF) has graduated from the Air Force Test Pilot School as the country's first female flight test engineer.
Squadron Leader Ashrita V. Oletti is the first and only woman to be qualified for this role in the Indian Air Force.
Oleti, a native of Karnataka, graduated as part of the 43rd Flight Test Course after completing a one-year course in pilot school.

6) Indian plans to launch a mobile tech platform in August 2021 that will provide terrain-related information to the Blue Helmets in the line of duty.
In partnership with the UN Department of Peacekeeping Operations and the Department of Operational Support, India has been working towards developing a mobile tech platform ‘UNITE AWARE’ that helps increase situational awareness.

7) Private sector lender ICICI Bank has launched a facility for linking a Unified Payments Interface (UPI) ID with its digital wallet, 'Pockets'.
The facility is a departure from the current practice under which UPI IDs can be linked with a savings bank account.

8) Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative (IFFCO) will launch Nano Urea in the market in June 2021.
The Nano Urea will be a game-changer for the farming sector as it is expected to reduce the consumption of normal urea substantially thus saving a huge sum on subsidy and forex. It is also eco-friendly.
