1) Tamil Nadu constituted a five-member economic advisory council to the Chief Minister, which includes Nobel Prize winning economist Esther Duflo and former RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan to guide Chief Minister MK Stalin in managing the state's economic and social policies.

3) Minister of State for Education, Sanjay Dhotre has launched the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) diploma course in Yogic Science on the occasion of International Day of Yoga. The minister released a self-instructional material of the course as well.

4) India received USD 64 billion in foreign direct investments (FDI) in 2020, the fifth largest recipient of inflows in the world.
➨The World Investment Report 2021 by the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), said global FDI flows have been severely hit by the pandemic, and they plunged by 35 per cent in 2020 to USD 1 trillion from USD 1.5 trillion the previous year.

5) Rafael Nadal is a legend in Spain and has been a king of the sport. The 13 time French Open winner celebrated his 35th birthday on the June 3.

6) A Finnish company called Arctic Astronautics is working on sending the world's first wooden satellite to space by the end of this year.
➨The satellite, WISA Woodsat, is a nanosatellite that's shaped like a cube and is amde of birch plywood. It has sensors that have been developed by the European Space Agency (ESA).

7) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar launched two ambitious schemes christened as the 'Mukhya Mantri Yuva Udyaymi Yojna' and the 'Mukhya Mantri Mahila Udyami Yojna' to promote entrepreneurship among youth and women of all sections under the state's 'Mukhaya Mantri Udyami Yojna' scheme.

8) Iran's ultraconservative cleric and judiciary chief Ebrahim Raisi has won the presidential election.

9) Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi launched a nationwide “Jaan Hai ToJ ahaan Hai” awareness campaign to create awareness on Corona vaccination in rural and remote areas of the country and also to “Crush and Curb” the rumours and apprehensions regarding the ongoing vaccination drive.

10) Dr Tadang Minu from Arunachal Pradesh appointed as a member of the Coaches Committee of the International Boxing Association (AIBA), the parent body for boxing in the world.
➨With this, Minu becomes the first women in the country and the second Indian to be appointed as a member in AIBA.
