1) Indian Army de-commissioned two of its longest serving Artillery systems. The Mahajan Field Firing Ranges witnessed the decommissioning ceremony marked by the customary firing of last salvos of the 130mm Self Propelled M-46 Catapult Guns and the 160mm Tampella Mortars in the presence of the Director General Artillery Lieutenant General K Ravi Prasad, the head of the Arm of Artillery.

5) Inter Parliamentary Union President Mr. Duarte Pacheco called on Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and witnessed the proceedings of the Upper House.
Mr. Pacheco is on a week long visit to India on the invitation of Indian Parliament. He is scheduled to attend a felicitation ceremony and address the Parliament Members under the auspices of the Indian Parliamentary Group (IPG) in Central Hall of Parliament House.
6) Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched an official “Factcheck” portal aimed at curbing misinformation by vested interests against the state government.
Objective of this initiative is to stop the spread of malicious propaganda on social media. He also launched an exclusive Twitter handle for the same.

7) The Indian Institute of Technology Jammu entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Army's Northern Command providing innovative solutions through exhaustive research and development in Jammu and Kashmir.

8) In a historic moment, the railways has connected the two ends of the main arch of the world's highest bridge on the Chenab river in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district which will provide direct connectivity to Kashmir Valley.
The iconic bridge will soar 359 metres above the bed of the river and will be 30 metres higher than the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris.
